The St Croix Rayfin Spinning 228MF2 is a powerful all-round finesse rod specially developed for European predator fishing. This premium rod is the result of a collaboration between St Croix, the finesse specialists at VisTD and predator fishing expert Mark Kuiper. The result is an extremely sensitive rod with extra power in reserve for heavier lures and larger predators.

The 228MF2 is the heavier version in the popular Rayfin finesse range and is ideal when you want to step up your tackle slightly. Perfect for zander fishing from a boat, sea bass fishing or actively targeting pike with lighter lures. Its fast action maintains maximum bait control and lets you feel even subtle bites immediately.

The high-quality SCIV+ Hybrid Carbon Fiber blank provides a perfect balance of sensitivity, power and casting comfort. The optimal casting weight is between 5g and 18g, but lures up to 30g can also be fished without difficulty.

Its 2.28m length makes this rod versatile from a boat, float tube or the bank.
