A Bolognese rod, often called a Bolo rod, is a long telescopic rod with guides and a reel seat. It is designed for controlled float fishing on rivers, canals and larger waters where you need reach, line control and the ability to play fish on a reel.
What makes a Bolognese rod different?
Unlike a fixed pole, a Bolognese rod lets you give line during the fight. This makes it useful for bream, roach, ide, chub and other coarse fish in flowing water. You can present bait naturally by letting the float drift with the current.
