What is pellet waggler fishing?

You fish with a short, powerful match-style rod and a pre-weighted pellet waggler float. By feeding small pellets regularly, you create competition in the upper layers and draw fish to your hookbait.

Rod length, action and setup

Most pellet waggler rods are around 3.00 to 3.60 m with a progressive action. They need enough power to handle carp, but enough finesse to cast accurately and protect lighter hooklengths. Pair them with a suitable reel and nylon line for controlled float fishing.
