Catana GX EVA Spinning Rod

The Shimano Catana GX EVA Spinning Rod combines a modern appearance with reliable performance and excellent value for money. The Shimano Catana GX is a versatile series of spinning rods for both beginners and more experienced predator anglers looking for a lightweight, responsive rod for fishing with different types of lures.

The lightweight Full Carbon blank is reinforced with Shimano Diaflash technology in the lower section of the rod. This construction reduces blank twist under load and provides accurate casts, direct lure control and sufficient power when playing fish. The Fuji Stainless Steel K-Type guides provide smooth line flow and are ideally suited to both braided and nylon fishing lines.

This version features a modern EVA split grip and an ergonomic VSS-style reel seat. Depending on the model selected, the Catana GX has a Fast or Moderate-Fast action. This means there is a suitable version for a wide range of techniques and lure weights, from light finesse fishing for perch to heavier lures for zander and pike.
