Polenta is cut maize kernel and comes in several types. Its colour depends on the maize used. I personally prefer yellow to orange-coloured polenta. There are coarse and fine polenta, the so-called Italian polenta, and polenta flour. Use coarse polenta in deep, flowing water. Fine Italian polenta is used in shallow, still or slowly flowing water. It is slightly sticky, adds some weight to the feed and still lets it break apart easily. Polenta flour is extremely fine and powdery. It creates an excellent cloud and allows the feed to break apart easily, making it ideal for pond fishing. Polenta is a basic ingredient in your feed.
