Stiff rigs and combi rigs with semi-stiff monofilament have a great track record for catching large carp all over the world.
This is because the right stiffness in the hooklink prevents the bait from landing on the lead in a crumpled mess. It also helps improve the casting properties of the hooks and prevents tangles. The materials we have used so far have varied greatly – from memory-free leaders to Fluorocarbon – but so far they have all been a compromise between subtlety and the right balance of stiffness.

With the introduction of Trick-Link, we believe we have developed the perfect material for boom and stiff link. This beautifully colored, low memory monofilament hook material has been developed to balance stiffness with that little bit of flexibility that makes it possible for the rig to fall just right.
