The Ned rig is subtle, slow and natural. It imitates an easy meal on the bottom and works well in clear water, cold conditions and heavily fished venues where aggressive presentations can be too much.
How to fish Ned rig softbaits
Cast out, let the bait reach the bottom and use small hops, shakes and pauses. Light jigheads from around 2 to 5 g are often enough. Use a light spinning rod, braided main line and fluorocarbon leader for sensitivity and control.
