With Mikado floats, first choose between an individual float and a premade rig with line and hook. A separate float lets you build your own setup; sets 004 and 024 already combine float, line and hook.
The 1 g and 5 g sets differ in several ways
The 1 g set 004 has 0.14 mm mainline, a 0.12 mm hooklength and a size 16 hook. The 5 g set 024 uses 0.16 mm mainline, a 0.14 mm hooklength and a size 10 hook. The heavier set is therefore not simply the same rig with a different float. Compare hook size and line diameter with your bait and intended fishing too.
An individual float to suit your setup
The Solid/Fixed 059 has a fixed attachment. The Ex Moveable 047 offers another rigging option, and the range also includes the Ex Livebait 048. Check the attachment and loading capacity of each version. After rigging, plumb the depth and check the shotting with your chosen bait: a brightly coloured tip is useful only if it remains clearly visible above the water.
