What is groundbait and how does it work?

Groundbait consists of a mixture of natural ingredients such as grains, flours, seeds, and attractive additives. You bring it to your spot in the form of bait balls or via a bait cage. In the water, the bait breaks down and spreads scent, taste, and particles that attract fish. By regularly feeding, you keep fish active at your spot.

Types of groundbait for every fishing style

• Groundbait for carp: Use easily digestible bait in spring. In summer, carp pellets and particles such as hemp and corn often work best. Combine with flavours or liquids for extra attraction.

• Groundbait for coarse fish: Think of bream or roach bait, enriched with maggots, casters, or worms. Pellets, boilies, and hemp are also excellent additions. Adjust the bait structure to your fishing water: compact for still water, coarser for flowing water.

• Groundbait for feeder and fixed rod: Use fine groundbait that binds well, so it breaks down controlled on the bottom. Optionally add wet or dry additives for more attraction.
