PVA Bags

The use of PVA bags is quite simple. Before you fill the bag, prepare the PVA line or strip to tie it. If you don't have that, cut half a centimeter off the end of the bag. Fill the bag half with ground bait and the other half with crushed boilies and pellets. Then put the lead line and the hook of your terminal bait into the bag. Finish by adding more bait. After all the air is removed, twist the bag a few times and tie the top closed. Flatten the protruding parts by moistening them. Be especially careful not to use water when mixing your groundbait.Do not use water-based products for flavoring boilies and pellets either, because this will dissolve the PVA. Use the slow-dissolving version in warm water or deep groove lakes to prevent the bag from falling apart, which would make your bait less precise. You don’t even need to squeeze out all the air, just make sure it sinks slowly. If you prepare your PVA bag this way, it won’t get stuck in the silt.
