At Korda, we always strive to improve products already on the market when they do not meet our quality standards. We are not interested in selling something simply because others do. Initially, we therefore had no intention of selling a micro swivel. That changed when we realised this product could also be improved, specifically through its coating.

Our Micro Rig Swivel has a non-reflective coating, and that makes an ENORMOUS difference. It is perfect for the Claw Rig and the well-known D-Rig. These swivels provide much better hooking than familiar rings, which prevent the hook from rotating fully and therefore considerably limit rig effectiveness.

Consider how the bait and hook enter the carp's mouth when sucked in. The fish then straightens the hooklength, causing the hook point to begin penetrating. At this stage it is extremely important that the hook can rotate. A D-Rig fitted with a ring restricts this movement, with all the consequences that entails.

We therefore tie a short hair to the end of the swivel. The hookbait is pulled far enough over the swivel that only its lower eye remains visible. It can then slide freely over the D-Rig or hook shank. A highly ingenious presentation.
