Pike Lures

Lures for pike fishing

Pike fishing with lures is active, visual and highly versatile. Whether you fish shallow canals, clear lakes or large rivers, the right lure can trigger aggressive takes from fish holding near cover.

Popular pike lure types

Hard baits
Crankbaits and plugs create a fixed swimming action and can be used to search water at different depths.

Soft baits
Large shads and soft lures move naturally at slow speeds and are often fished with jig heads or stingers.

Spinners, spoons and jerkbaits
Spinners and spoons create flash and vibration, while jerkbaits and twitchbaits give you direct control over an erratic action.

Choose the right pike lure

In clear water, natural colours and subtle action often work well. In coloured water, vibration, contrast and a stronger profile can help pike locate the lure. Slow presentations are useful in cold conditions, while faster retrieves can trigger active fish.

Complete your predator setup

Combine pike lures with predator leaders and traces, predator weights and tungsten, jig heads and strong predator reels and baitcasters.
