Spoons are classic metal lures with a proven action. Their wobbling, flashing movement imitates an injured baitfish and triggers strikes from pike, perch, trout, asp and other predators.

Why spoons still catch so well

A spoon casts far, fishes different depths and is easy to use. Retrieve steadily for a wide wobble, speed up for a more aggressive action or pause briefly to let the spoon flutter down through the water column.

Choose size, weight and colour

Small silver and gold spoons are excellent for trout and perch. Larger spoons with bright colours or natural baitfish patterns are effective for pike and bigger predators. Heavier models help cover more water or fish deeper spots.
