Shot-On The Hook Rig

The Shot-on the Hook rig is a leader equipped with an extra weight on the hook. This causes the hook point to drop much faster and more aggressively, allowing the hook to set more quickly and effectively. Especially in waters where carp are already familiar with whip bites, the Shot-on the Hook Rig is a means to catch more fish.

Additionally, this extra weight on the point allows a pop-up presentation to be offered in a completely different way. The hook position can be much sharper thanks to the Shot-on the Hook bead. This rig is tied with Jelly Wire 25lb and features the excellent Anti Eject hook with a mounted Long Shank Aligner. A Shot-on the Hook bead is mounted on the hook bend. Of course, this leader is also equipped with a Speed Swivel 8 in combination with the Anti Tangle Sleeve. This rig is a solution for heavily stocked waters!
