Why Choose a Day of Predator Fishing from the Boat?
The goal of this day is to teach you different new fishing techniques and help you catch some beautiful fish. We'll take you to several excellent fishing spots and teach you how to effectively fish various locations with specific artificial lures. You'll also learn all about using fish finders to locate fish and interesting fishing spots.
Pascal, Kevin, or Niels will guide you throughout the day, providing expert predator fishing tips. Their extensive knowledge comes from years of weekly boat fishing and competing in international predator fishing tournaments. They are eager to share their fishing expertise and water knowledge with anglers who want to fully immerse themselves in predator fishing.
Niels Peirsman notably won the World Predator Cup 2021, competing for two days against Europe's top anglers. Each day required catching 2 pike, 2 zander, and 2 perch. Niels was the only angler who successfully completed the full card two days in a row!

Where Do We Fish?
The southwestern part of the Netherlands is home to a beautiful network of rivers. This extensive area of rivers, lakes, and nature reserves is ideal for boat fishing, offering the freedom to fish in inaccessible spots from the shore. Moreover, this region hosts some of Europe's largest pike, zander, and perch!
Possible fishing waters include:
-
Hollands Diep
-
Haringvliet
-
Volkerak
-
De Biesbosch
-
Nieuwe Merwede
-
Beneden Merwede
-
Oude Maas
-
Amer
We usually meet at a boat ramp at one of the locations above. Would you prefer fishing at another location in the Netherlands or Belgium? Feel free to discuss possibilities with us!
What Fish Can You Catch?
All listed waters contain large pike, perch, and zander. Certain waters may provide higher chances of catching specific fish species depending on the season, current, or water clarity. We always choose the most productive water at that moment for the best chances of a successful day. Interested in targeting a specific fish or water body? Just let us know!
In the Dutch river region, we've caught exceptionally large fish, including pike up to 127cm, zander up to 95cm, and perch up to 52.5cm. Occasionally, we catch asp as bycatch, with our record being an impressive 86cm. There's a good chance you'll catch your personal best fish! Please note: after taking a quick photo, we carefully release every fish.
From late spring until early autumn, we also enjoy fishing for seabass when the weather is calm. The thrilling strikes and fighting power make seabass fishing truly addictive!
What Fishing Techniques Will We Use?
Our favorite fishing technique is active casting with lightweight spinning and baitcasting rods. This so-called ‘power fishing’ covers large areas quickly, targeting actively feeding fish. We'll frequently move between spots, casting artificial lures like crankbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, jerkbaits, twitchbaits, tubes, and shads along banks and drop-offs. If fish are less active, we'll fish more slowly with finesse techniques such as the Carolina rig.
Other fishing techniques include vertical jigging, diagonal fishing, trolling, and pelagic fishing specifically for catching large zander.
