Bloodworm is the bright red water larva of a small mosquito found around rivers and lakes, whose blood contains haemoglobin, allowing it to live in poorly oxygenated water where silt has accumulated.

Bloodworm proves an irresistible, naturally occurring food source for fish and is the perfect bait option for enticing large pressured carp and other species.

Features of bloodworm pellets:

  • High content of soluble attractors; ideal for year-round use
  • Medium to dark red sinking pellets
  • Medium oil content, high digestible protein content
  • Deep, savoury flavour and rich, natural bloodworm aroma
  • Rich in amino acids derived from marine proteins

  • 2 mm: excellent size for use in PVA bags and sticks

Dissolution time (in cold water):

  • 2 mm - 3 hours
  • 6 mm - 6/7 hours
